1. Licensing model
ApexReporter Studio is licensed per machine (one physical or virtual server), not per named user up to your plan's user limit — see the pricing page for what each plan (Basic, Pro, Enterprise, Custom) includes. A separate key is needed for each additional server you run it on.
2. Billing cycle
Plans are available billed monthly or yearly; the yearly rate is a flat annual price (see the toggle on the pricing page for current rates). An activation key's validity window matches the billing period you've purchased.
3. Payment
Purchases are currently arranged directly with our sales team — sales@apex-reporter.com or the Contact form — who will confirm your plan and arrange payment (invoice, bank transfer, or card, as agreed). Once payment is confirmed, we generate and email your activation key. Custom plans are always quoted and invoiced individually.
4. Renewal
We'll reach out before your current key's validity window ends to arrange renewal. Renewing issues a fresh activation key covering the next billing period — paste it into the app's activation screen (no reinstall needed) to continue uninterrupted. There's no automatic recurring charge today; renewal is confirmed with you each time before anything is billed.
5. What happens at expiry
If a key isn't renewed before it expires, the application locks itself — every feature disabled, replaced by an activation-key entry screen — the same state a fresh install shows before any key is entered. Your reports, connections, users, schedules, and all other data remain exactly as they were on disk; nothing is deleted, and entering a new valid key unlocks everything immediately with no data loss.
6. Upgrading or adding machines
To move to a higher plan, or to license an additional server, contact us — we'll issue a new or updated key. Moving to a higher plan mid-cycle is prorated at our discretion on a case-by-case basis; ask when you contact us.
7. Price changes
We may change plan pricing for new purchases at any time (see the live pricing page for current rates). A price change does not affect a license you've already purchased for its current paid period; any change applies starting at your next renewal, and we'll tell you the new price before you renew.
8. Taxes
Listed prices do not include any applicable sales tax, VAT, GST, or similar — you're responsible for any taxes applicable in your jurisdiction unless stated otherwise on your invoice. ApexReporter Studio is published by ALPHA TEC (NTN: 3035872-8); this registration is shown on request for invoicing purposes.
9. Plug-ins
Optional plug-ins (migration importers, alternate database engines, custom DB host, etc.) are one-time purchases per installation, billed and delivered the same way as a license key, separate from your plan's own renewal cycle.
